What is a depth map?
A grayscale image where brightness shows distance: near is white, far is black. 3D tools use it for parallax, depth of field and relighting.
Which AI model is used?
Depth Anything V2 Small (Apache-2.0). It downloads once (about 25–100 MB, depending on your device) and runs in this tab.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. The photo is processed in your browser and never leaves your device.
Can I use it with ControlNet or Blender?
Yes. Download the grayscale PNG for a ControlNet depth input, a Blender displacement map or a 3D photo effect.
Is the depth in meters?
No. It is relative depth: it orders what is nearer or farther, not measured distance.
