Terms of Service
Last updated:
These terms cover your use of cv.cm. By using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use cv.cm.
The service
cv.cm offers free browser tools, a temporary cloud clipboard, tutorials, and a player for redistributable games. No account is needed. We may change, pause, or end any part of the service at any time, with or without notice.
Your content
You keep all rights to the text and files you put into cv.cm, and you are responsible for them. When you create a clipboard note, you let us store it and show it to anyone with its link until it expires. Content processed only in your browser never reaches us.
Acceptable use
Do not use cv.cm to:
- share illegal content, including any content that sexually exploits minors;
- spread malware, phishing pages, or scams;
- share content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or privacy;
- share personal data of other people without their consent, or harass anyone;
- send spam, or use the clipboard as permanent file hosting;
- attack, overload, scrape at high volume, or bypass the limits of the site.
Enforcement
We may delete any note and block access from any network that breaks these terms. Where the law requires it, we may report illegal content to the authorities.
Games and third-party material
We host only homebrew, freeware, and open-source games that their authors allow to be shared, under their own licenses. We do not host commercial ROMs or SWF files. Load only files you have the right to use. Trademarks and game names belong to their owners.
Results are for information
Calculators, converters, asset tools, and tutorials give general information only. They are not financial, tax, medical, or legal advice, and the asset tools do not show live market quotes. The signature tool makes an image, not a legally binding electronic signature. Check any result that matters before you rely on it.
Copyright complaints
If you believe content on cv.cm infringes your rights, email [email protected] with the link, a description of the work, and your contact details. We will review it and remove infringing content quickly.
Open source
The cv.cm source code is available under the MIT License. That license covers the code. These terms cover the hosted service at cv.cm.
No warranty
cv.cm is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. Notes are deleted on schedule and can be lost earlier because of errors or outages. Keep your own copy of anything important.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, cv.cm is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits, arising from your use of the site. Our total liability for any claim is limited to USD 50. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer law in your country does not allow to be limited.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using cv.cm after a change, you accept the updated terms.
