Anxiety test (GAD-7)
The GAD-7 is a 7-question screening tool doctors use to check for generalized anxiety. It takes about a minute and scores from 0 to 21.
Your answers are scored in this tab. Nothing is uploaded, saved, or sent anywhere. This is a self-check, not a diagnosis. Only a qualified professional can diagnose a mental health condition.
About this test
The Generalized Anxiety Disorder 7-item scale (GAD-7) was developed by Spitzer, Kroenke, Williams and Löwe in 2006. It is free to use and is widely used in primary care. Scores of 5, 10 and 15 mark mild, moderate and severe anxiety.
A score of 10 or more is a reason to talk to a doctor or mental health professional. This check is a screening tool, not a diagnosis.
