Is this speech to text free?
Yes, with no sign-up or minutes limit. It uses OpenAI's open Whisper model, which downloads once and runs on your device.
Is my audio uploaded?
No. Audio and video are decoded and transcribed in this tab. Nothing is sent to a server, which suits private meetings and interviews.
Which languages are supported?
Whisper knows 99 languages, including English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Indonesian and Spanish. It can detect the language or translate the speech into English.
Can I make subtitles?
Yes. Download SRT or VTT with timestamps for YouTube, Premiere, CapCut or a video player, or plain TXT.
How long can a file be?
Hours are fine; the audio is read in 30-second windows. Speed depends on your device: with a GPU, an hour usually takes a few minutes.
