    How to use this tool

    Generate RFC 4122 version 4 UUIDs in this tab. v1 is not offered.

    1. Open UUID generator

      A short list of v4 UUIDs is already generated.

    2. Set how many you need

      Move the count slider. Hyphens and uppercase are optional.

    3. Copy the list

      Generate again if you need a fresh batch, then copy. Values come from crypto.getRandomValues.

    Can I generate a UUID here?

    Yes. It makes RFC 4122 version 4 UUIDs with Web Crypto in this tab.

    Are these sequential or based on MAC?

    No. Version 4 is random. There is no v1 time or hardware address.

    Is anything uploaded?

    No. Random bytes come from Web Crypto locally. Closing the tab discards the list.

    Can I drop the hyphens?

    Yes. Uncheck hyphens for a 32-character hex string. Uppercase is optional.

    Can I copy several at once?

    Yes. Copy list puts every UUID on its own line on the clipboard.
