FAQ
What is the difference between mean, median and mode?
The mean is the sum divided by the count. The median is the middle value after sorting (the mean of the two middle values for an even count). The mode is the value that appears most often.
Sample or population standard deviation?
Use the sample value (divides by n − 1) when your numbers are a sample of a bigger group, and the population value (divides by n) when they are the whole group.
How do I enter numbers?
Separate them with spaces, new lines or semicolons. With the decimal mark set to a dot (3.5), commas separate numbers too; set it to a comma for 3,5. You can paste a column from a spreadsheet.
Why is there no mode?
When every value appears the same number of times, for example all different, no value is the mode.
Is anything uploaded?
