Can I compress a PDF here?

Is the file uploaded?

No. pdf.js renders locally. Closing the tab discards it.

Will the file always get smaller?

Usually for scans and photo PDFs. An already-tiny text PDF may not shrink much.

Does it keep selectable text?

No. Pages become images, so text is no longer selectable.

What do quality and resolution do?

Quality is JPEG compression. 1× is smaller; 2× is sharper and heavier.
