FAQ
How does the reaction time test work?
Click the pad to start. It turns red; after a random 1.5–4.5 seconds it turns green. Click as soon as you see green. The time between green and your click is your reaction time.
What is a normal reaction time?
Most people react to a visual signal in about 200–300 ms with a mouse or touch screen. Under 200 ms is fast.
Why five tries?
Single tries vary a lot. The average and median of five give a steadier number; the best and worst are shown too.
Does my device change the result?
Yes. Screen refresh, mouse or touch latency and browser load add a few to tens of milliseconds, so compare results on the same device.
What if I click too early?
Clicking while the pad is red shows “Too soon” and the try does not count. Click again to retry it.
