How to find your ideal weight
You want a sensible weight target for your height. You will read four classic formulas and the healthy BMI range in one place, in kilograms or pounds. For a 170 cm man the formulas land between 65.2 and 66.7 kg and the BMI range is 53.5 to 72 kg. Nothing leaves this tab.
Open the ideal weight calculator with your height at hand. Read the spread of the formulas as the range, and the BMI row as the healthy band. Not a personal target; ask a doctor. Nothing is uploaded.

Know what the formulas are
Devine (1974), Robinson (1983), Miller (1983) and Hamwi (1964) each give a base weight at 5 feet and add a fixed amount per inch above it, with separate numbers for men and women. They were built for drug dosing and insurance tables, so they differ by a few kilograms.
Each formula: a base weight at 5 ft plus a fixed amount per inch, different for men and women. Open Ideal weight calculator on cv.cm
Metric, male and 170 cm are set. The four results and the BMI range sit on the right. Nothing is uploaded.

Pick Male or Female and type the height in cm. For feet and inches switch Units to imperial; the results then show in pounds. Below 5 ft (152.4 cm) the formulas extrapolate, so treat those results as rough.
Read the four formulas
For a 170 cm man: Devine 65.9 kg, Robinson 65.2 kg, Miller 66 kg, Hamwi 66.7 kg. For a 160 cm woman: 52.4, 54.1, 57.2 and 52.1 kg. The spread is the answer; no single formula is right.
170 cm man: Devine 65.9, Robinson 65.2, Miller 66, Hamwi 66.7 kg; BMI range 53.5–72 kg. Read the BMI range
The last row is the weight that gives a BMI of 18.5 to 24.9: 53.5 to 72 kg at 170 cm. Muscle, frame and age shift what is healthy for you.

FAQ
Can I find my ideal weight free online?
Yes. cv.cm computes it in this tab. Nothing is uploaded.
Which formula should I use?
None alone. Read the spread of the four as a range and check it against the BMI row.
What is the ideal weight for 170 cm?
About 65.2 to 66.7 kg for a man and 60.7 to 62.5 kg for a woman by the four formulas; the BMI 18.5–24.9 range is 53.5 to 72 kg.
Does it work under 5 feet?
Yes, down to 140 cm: the formulas extrapolate their per-inch step below 152.4 cm, so treat those results as rough.
