How to find your star sign and Chinese zodiac animal

1. Know the two zodiacs

   The star sign follows the Sun through 12 signs, so it depends only on the day and month: Leo runs from 23 July to 22 August. The Chinese zodiac gives each lunar year one of 12 animals, so it depends on the year.

3. Enter the date of birth

   Pick the date. Star sign, dates, element, Chinese zodiac, year element and year name update at once.

4. Check Lunar New Year

   The lunar year starts on Lunar New Year, between 21 January and 20 February. 9 February 2024 is still the Rabbit, because the Dragon year began on 10 February. The tool says when a birthday falls before it.

   

5. Read the element and year name

   Each year has an element (wood, fire, earth, metal or water) and is yin or yang; with the animal they form a 60-year cycle such as 甲辰 (wood Dragon) for 2024.

6. Check edge dates and copy

   If you were born on the first or last day of a sign, it can move by a day in some years. Copy puts all the results on the clipboard.
