How to annotate a screenshot
A bug report, a how-to, or a chat needs a mark on the picture, not a paragraph. You will drop a screenshot, draw a box or an arrow, and check the PNG at the size of a message.
Open screenshot when the capture is on disk or on the clipboard. Rect, arrow, or text. Export is PNG. The original stays. Nothing is uploaded.
Open Screenshot editorContents
Decide box, arrow, or a short label
A box around the broken control. An arrow at the button to tap. Two or three words, not a paragraph. Too many marks fight the screenshot.
Box the broken control. Arrow the tap. Two words, not a paragraph. Open screenshot on cv.cm
Work stays in this tab.
Open Screenshot editorDrop or paste the capture
Paste from the clipboard if you just captured. If the preview is blank, the file is not an image this browser can decode.
Draw one or two marks
Rect around the area. Arrow at the tap. Text for a two-word label. Undo the last mark if it covers the thing you meant to show.
Download the PNG
Keep the unmarked original. Export does not change the file on disk.
Open it at chat or ticket size
If the arrow vanishes when small, draw it thicker and closer. If type smears, shorten the label. Do not send the unmarked original by mistake.
Export is PNG. Keep the unmarked original. Check at chat size.
